Financial Controller / Senior Management Accountant
Bangor, North Wales | £45,000–£50,000 per year | Full-time 

Snowdon Timber Products is a fast-growing, multi-entity business, and we’re creating a  Financial Controller / Senior Management Accountant role to support the next phase of growth.

This is a hands-on position with real influence. You’ll lead the day to day finance function, work closely with the Managing Director and Non-Exec FD, and build the foundations needed for continued expansion.

What You’ll be Responsible for

  • Producing monthly management accounts, budgets and cashflow 
  • Providing clear insight to support business decisions and growth 
  • Strengthening financial controls across multiple entities 
  • Managing year-end, compliance and external relationships 
  • The day-to-day finance function including bookkeeping (with support to be recruited as the business grows) 
  • Leading migration from Sage to Xero 
  • Helping build and lead a finance team as the business grows 
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or working towards). QBE will also be considered. 
  • Experience in a Financial Controller or Management Accountant role within an SME. 
  • Strong communicator, able to work closely with non-finance colleagues
  • Friendly, practical team player who leads by example 
  • Commercial mindset and confidence to challenge constructively 
  • Comfortable operating in a growing, fast-moving environment 
  • Strong accounting systems experience (Xero/Sage ideal)
