Our Story
Snowdon Timber was founded in 2019 by Jody Goode, who had already spent eight years working in the timber industry. What started as a small warehouse stocking timber from Europe quickly grew to meet rising demand.
In the early days, Jody was the only member of the team, taking orders during the day and delivering throughout the evenings in the North Wales area. He was helped by some friends and, through the pandemic, was able to grow the business and build a small team.
By introducing reject timber - a cost-effective and sustainable alternative that helps reduce waste - we opened up new opportunities. Online sales took off through eBay, and soon after, we began selling through major platforms including B&Q, Amazon, and our own website.
These innovations led to the opening of our Llandygai site near Bangor, now a hub serving customers across the UK, while our Mochdre outlet continues to support the local community. Today, Snowdon Timber is home to a team of 20+ and is proud to be a trusted name in the DIY and construction industry, both online and in-person.
Snowdon Timber is still led by Jody Goode and, alongside his son Artyom, strives to deliver high-quality products and reliable service.
Achievements and Community
We ensure our wood is ethically sourced and sustainable by meeting the strict UKTR and the UK FLEGT Regulations. We deal with FSC and PEFC-certified timber, and we offer ready-to-burn wood to ensure customers are getting high-quality and eco-friendly products.
Over the years, we’ve built strong partnerships with well-known names like B&Q, Amazon, and Homebase. In recognition of our work, Snowdon Timber won the Growth Tool Champion Award from B&Q - something we’re incredibly proud of.
